This week in the Human Design transits forecast for 22nd-28th October 2024 (22/10-28/10) the sun continues to move through gate 50, the gate of values, together with the channel of acceptance, the channel of mutation and the channel of inspiration. On Friday 25th October, the sun shifts to gate 28, the gate of the game player and we experience a reflector transit through the weekend.

The upper trigram: Lines 4, 5 & 6
Today, Tuesday 22nd October, the sun is in gate 50.4. This week moves us from the lower trigram of lines 1,2 and 3 into the upper trigarm of lines 4, 5 and 6. As the sun is in the gate of values you might begin to notice how you relate to those around you as we move through these lines.
The lower trigram is very much an internal, intrapersonal process. It is about you, your information, your natural talents and the way you experiment through this thing we call life. But the upper trigram is very much about meeting with the world moving from your network (4), to the global community (5), to everyone/no one who cares?! (6)
With the 4th line energy today, you may want to notice who shares your same values? How do these shared values create opportunity with those you connect with? It may be a good time to recognise where values are no longer shared, and how this impacts your ability to deeply connect with some people.
The 4th line is the connector, the opportunist, but the magic is in the network, not in the network-ing. There is a tension with the 4th life experience. Although often the great connector, bringing people and ideas together seamlessly and fruitfully, the 4th line also knows when the opportunity is up. When there is no longer benefit for both parties.You might see this niceness-meanness polarity with 4th line people in your life, and this might show up today. Where might the nice-ness of shared values have developed into the mean-ness of a lack of shared values?
The foundation of the network
The 4th line can seem a little fixed sometimes. It is a line that needs a foundation, and this foundation is built through an exclusive, mutually beneficial network. Today you might feel like you only want to connect to those who you feel solid and stable around. You might thrive in 1-1 conversations today, leaving the larger crowds for Wednesday and Thursday.
(I’m sure we’ll get into line 5 & 6 some other time, but right now does not feel like that time 🙃)

Human Design transits forecast 22/10-28/10 Theme: Responsibility, Creation & Playing to win
As I shared last week, gate 50 in the spleen focuses on the values and laws that govern our communities. This channel, along with gate 27 of caring, is in the business of keeping our communities alive and keeping them strong. But gate 50 isn’t just about staying alive, this gate is about thriving as a close kin. This gate brings the splenic awareness of what is needed for strength and vitality.
There is a lot of responsibility here. Gate 50 can hold the feeling that they alone are responsible for keeping their family and kin thriving. And this itself can be an overwhelming feeling. This week, especially as the sun gate moves through those upper trigram lines, you might feel that weight of responsibility on your shoulders. And it might be a good time to reflect upon, where I am carrying too much responsibility? Where can I invite those close to me to carry the burden? What am I carrying that actually isn’t mine and that can be put down (even if this feels scary)? And, how is inviting others to help me actually the BEST way to ensure our close community thrives?
Remember, this is a splenic gate! And while it has the awareness and the intuition, it needs energy from the sacral to get anything done. Just because you have become aware of what needs to change, does not mean you have to be the one to change it. This week maybe take some time to notice what you notice, without jumping into action to fix it. Asking yourself, how can I merely hold what I notice and wait for my authority to guide me into action?
Inspiration through self-empowered creativity
Along with the 17-62 and the 3-60 (that I covered in the past few posts), we are joined this week by the 1-8 channel of inspiration. This channel moves from the G to the throat and stays with us for 4 days this week.
There is a tension in this channel. There is the pull of gate 1 to retreat and create, and there is the push of gate 8 to get those creations out there. Whilst gate 1 of self-expression is here to get lost in the creative expression and create without an agenda, gate 8, of contribution is always looking for how it can take creativity out into the world and have it well received.
And if you’ve ever tried to create with the reception in mind, you may have found yourself in a state of total paralysis! It might be a good time to contemplate, where/what I am holding myself back from creating because I am worried about the outcomes? How can I create space for agendaless expression in my life?
And a reminder that a creation doesn’t need to have an end purpose. Sometimes the purpose is merely the process of creating it!
The design of a creative role model
This channel is the design of a creative role model. And as part of the individual circuit, this is where self-empowered creativity is expressed in through the throat center. This channel is an outlet, but in order to share something must first be created. It is the ability to create without limits, that brings the role model energy to the channel. The ability to be so fully immersed in your own expression that it becomes inspirational to others is the main goal here.
You might want to noddle over, where can I hold tension in my life and move forward anyway? How is my unbridled self expression my biggest gift to the world? If I KNEW that what I create would be received well what would I create?
Vitality from the fight? Gate 28.
On Friday 28th October the sun moves into gate 28 (you guessed it, another splenic gate)! This is the gate of the game player, a part of the channel of struggle from the root to the spleen. It’s also part of the individual circuit. Gate 28 is bringing the splenic awareness of what games are worth playing, essentially what is actually worth fight for.
Whilst gate 38 in the root has the energy to fight for anything, gate 28 brings the knowledge of where this energy will actually have an impact. The gate of the game player finds vitality through this game and will find itself meeting life’s challenges quite intuitively. It is not that gate 28 loves to play the game of life, but rather that it finds itself in the game. And once there you may as well play to win.
What I love about this whole channel is that it is seeking purpose, vitality and life force through the fight. Without meeting life in its games, life becomes purposeless here. There is a real “James Bond” type energy to gate 28. The splenic fear here is the fear of death. But in response to this fear gate 28 wants to get out and live life, ensuring that it’s not all meaningless by finding what is worth fighting for.
The game of life
With the sun in gate 28 you might become clear on where you can win in life and where you can’t. You might wish to reflect on, where do I feel most vital in life? In what ways does risk make me feel alive? Where can I meet life with a game player (and winner) attitude?
Because gate 28 NEEDS the game. There is a physical energy here that begins in the root that must be expressed. This adrenal forces needs to meet life in order to fully feel it’s vitality. However, without the root energy you might feel like you don’t have the energy to play the game. Even if you know you’ll win. There is an important lesson here in waiting for the energy. Whether this comes from your authority, the invitation or an urge, or waiting for someone else to bring their gate 38 into your aura, the awareness does not weaken in the waiting.
You can reflect on, where in life can I create space to wait? What makes me feel the most alive? Who allows me/empowers me to get out and truly meet life?
