This week in the Human Design transits forecast for 16th-22nd January 2024 (16/01-22/01), we continue with the 57-10, channel of perfected form from last week. Also joined by the 17-62, channel of acceptance. The sun shifts to gate 60, limitation, on Wednesday, bringing with it the channel of curiosity, the 11-56.

Organising life’s patterns – 17-62
Today, Tuesday 16th January, the human design transits bring us both the 57-10 from last week and the 17-62.
The 17-62, channel of acceptance, connects the ajna to the throat center. This channel is the expression of the logical collective energy in the mental realm. The 17-62 carries the design of an “organisational being” and is all about organising the details (from 63-4) in order to express their opinion out into the world.
The name acceptance here speaks to the lack of energy. This is a mental awareness stream, with no motors. In order to make a change to the collective patterns, you must accept those that already exist. It is only in accepting and working with that which already exists, can you create access to the time and energy needed to share. This channel is inviting you to tweak and adjust the life you live within, rather than tearing it down and starting again.
You might want to reflect on, where in life needs a tweak? Can I focus on smaller, doable changes in areas that don’t feel correct?

Human Design transits forecast 16/01-22/01 Theme: acceptance, innovation & expression
On Wednesday the 17th January, the sun shifts into gate 60 in the root center. This is the gate of acceptance (can you see a theme for this week?) and part of the 3-60, channel of mutation.
Gate 60, as part of the individual circuit, brings the pulse for innovation to the bodygraph. Gate 60 invites us into the physical limitations of what it means to be alive on this planet, at this time. It is bringing us how time moves, gravity pulls, energy exchanges. It is where innovation occurs because of these limitations, not in spite of them.
The gate of acceptance invites you to acknowledge the limitations in your world, so that you can begin to transcend them. It is a reminder that anyone can create in perfectly optimised conditions for creativity. But that’s not the life we live. Gate 60 brings the energy to transcend the limitations of life by getting to know them really well. Experimenting within the boundaries of life, rather than fighting against them.
You may want to ask, where am I fighting against life rather than moving within it? How might acceptance change the way I look at the barriers I currently see? Can I be curious about what I can find here, rather than what I desire out there?
As part of the individual circuit, it is also important to remember that this pulse to innovate is random. There is no telling when it will come, or how long it will last for. Gate 60 is inviting you to accept the chaos of energy and it’s timeline. Asking you to relax into your energy and listen for when the time is right to make a move.
You can think about, how can I be here without forcing my energy to be something it is not? What can I do to nourish my body and soul when I do not feel the impulse to move and create? How is relaxing supporting and preparing myself for what is it come?
Telling a great story – the 11-56
From Wednesday 17th – Sunday 21st the human design transits also bring collective definition in the 11-56, channel of curiosity. This channel, from the ajna to the throat, brings the expression of the abstract collective process. This is the very opposite of what you saw in the 17-62 yesterday.
The 17-62 and its logical process is here to express the organised details of a thought or argument. So that it can course correct the pattern for the future. The 11-56 on the other hand is here to tell a great story, with a purpose. But with almost a reckless abandon to detail and fact.

It is in the 11-56 that you find expression of beliefs, of stories. Of the tales that shape who you are and how you move through the world. I love to think about religion here, of myths and fables. They are told to the world to share a set of beliefs that are grounded in a experience, not in scientific fact and detail. The 11-56 has the energy to make others want to listen. Which is arguably the most important skill of expression.
The channel of curiosity carries the design of the seeker. And with this brings the energy of seeking, but never finding. The end goal is not even relevant to this channel. It is on a journey to share what it has been seeking and the lessons along the way. It is in a constant state of expansion and growth. And it is this energy that stimulates them to keep seeking and allows them to stimulate others when hearing the tales and experiences.
Remember this channel isn’t about truth. It is about sharing in an influential way. This often shows up as drama, exaggeration and flowery language. Anything to captivate the listener and to stimulate the one telling the story. This channel makes an impact on the world through effective communication.
You might want to ponder over, where do I dampen my expression to suit the needs of overs? How can I be a little more bold and dramatic today? What do I feel needs to be shared? Who can benefit from hearing about my experiences in their raw lived format?
Expression, time & making an impact
On Sunday 21st January, the 11-56 is joined for a single day by the 35-36, channel of transitoriness. The 36-35 is the expression of the abstract collective stream from the solar plexus. So your emotional expression on this day might be especially heightened.
But while the 11-56 knows how to tell a good story, the 36-35 needs time to process their emotional experience before expressing. Check in with yourself, do I have the correct vocabulary to share this right now? Am I prepared for whatever impact I might make? Have I come to a place of emotional clarity? How can I support myself today without attaching to stories of how life should go/be?
Monday 22nd January, you spend the day back with the 57-10, before the sun shifts into gate 41. Gate 41 is the beginning of the rave new year and starts a new cycle of experience in the Human Design calendar. We’ll dive into gate 41 and it’s significance next week!
