This week in the Human Design transits forecast for 2nd-8th January 2024 (02/01-08/01), we begin the week with the sun in gate 38, the fighter. We move collectively through the 39-55, channel of emoting. Later that is joined throughout the week by the 34-10, 57-10, 50-27 and the 42-53, channel of maturation. The sun then shifts to gate 54, gate of ambition. On Saturday 6th January and we find definition in the 54-32, channel of ambition. So there is a lot going on this week!

The channel of emoting for a New year
We begin the first week of January in 2024 02/01-08/01 in the Human Design transits forecast with two individual channels, the 39-55 and the 34-10. 39-55 is an emotional channel from the root to the solar plexus, and the 34-10, one of the channels in the centering circuit group. You are being invited to deeply recognize, accept and love yourself as we move into the first week of 2024.
The channel of emoting, 39-55, brings the design of moodiness, inviting you ask yourself, am I in the mood for this? Or, what am I in the mood for? Especially as you move into the new year, new me phase that collectively shows up.
The foundation of this channel is connecting with others correctly. This energy allows you to feel your moods. To accept and move through them in order to deepen your emotional connection to yourself. This journey and evolution allows you to connect emotionally with others who are also ready to witness themselves in a more emotionally intimate way. The channel of emoting wants to be witnessed in it’s moods by others. But especially by those who are ready to be as deeply, passionately and openly emotional as you.
This is a good day to reflect on, who is willing to witness my life experiences and support me in my individual process? Or how am I not allowing my true emotional expression and thus limiting my ability to truly relate to others?

Human Design transits forecast 02/01-08/01 Theme: Loving the self, emotional connection & ambition
For the 2nd and 3rd of January the 39-55 is joined by the 34-10, channel of exploration, connecting the Power of the sacral (34) to the love and behaviour of the self (10) in the G center. It is a powerful manifestation of the self in life but it must be experienced in response.
As with all G center gates, this channel is grounded in self-love, always asking the question, do I love myself enough?
Do I love myself enough to respond to life without interference of the mind? Do I love myself enough to surrender to my sacral? To trust in myself and my convictions?
This is the channel of exploration as an opportunity to explore life through your lens, and your lens only. This channel is not interested in the other, just the self and your version of the adventure of life. The 34-10 is asking you what does centered feel like? How would I show up if I was grounded in who I am and what I know about myself?
This channel has the capacity to inspire deep self-reverence and self-trust in others by embodying what it means to love yourself enough to trust in your sacral response and this in life.
Are you surrendering to your intuition?
On Thursday 4th of January definition shifts from gate 34, to gate 57, defining the 57-10, channel of perfected form, from the spleen to the G center. Here we see the shift from the power to be yourself, to the intuitive knowing to be yourself. The intuition (gate 57) to guide your behaviour as you pour your energy out into the world.
The channel of perfected form is grounded in vitality, in survival. This channel knows how to stay alive, how to best navigate life, and it does so very intuitively. This energy cannot be understood through logic and thought and has a tendency for perfectionism.
It is not uncommon for this energy to get stuck in a moment through fear of not being able to perfect life, through fear of making one (or many) mistakes on the way. Again, you must surrender to your intuition, trust in its quiet yet powerful voice and continue to move anyway.
You may want to think over, what does my intuition feel like? How does it feel to follow my intuition without logic? What evidence do I have that this serves me in my life? What hunches am I receiving that need my attention? Can I release the need to be perfect and trust in my ability to move through life as the adventure of being myself?
A shift to the community energy
Friday 5th January brings another shift, this time the 50-27, channel of preservation, joins the 39-55. Moving us away from these individual energies towards the community experience. This week is offering you short, sharp opportunities to explore, develop and center into yourself before we move into the rest of the year.
The 27-50, Channel of Preservation, from the sacral to the spleen is part of the tribal circuitry and focused on supporting “me and mine”. This is about the micro kinship view of life. This channel is here to nurture that which we bring into the world. At its core it is the energy to keep children thriving until they can pro-create.
But this is more than just physical, this is about nurturing creations of all kinds! This energy has other’s best interests at heart, but needs reciprocity for everyone to thrive. This is about survival and with that comes the possibility of rigidity. The feeling that anything outside of what is known, is scary and possibly unsafe.
During this transit, whilst continuing to hold space for spontaneous moods, you can reflect upon, do I need to renegotiate with those who I support? Do I feel I give and receive equally? How is filling my own cup first the best thing I can do to support those closest to me? Am I holding on too tightly to what I already know? How could a new idea allow me to thrive?
3 big channels for the 6th-8th
On Saturday 6th January, we leave the individual energies behind as the sun shifts into gate 54, gate of ambition, defining the channel of transformation from the root to the spleen.
Gate 54, the gate of ambition, carries the pulse, the drive, to climb the social ladder. This gate is seeking success both materially and spiritually. It is this pressure to succeed that allows the community to build something that will last, something that will endure.
As part of the community circuit, gate 54 knows that their individual success will push everyone around them to be successful and experience success. But this requires interactions to be entered into correctly. In order for the community as a whole to thrive, there must be loyalty, dedication and reciprocity.
Although this is a motorized channel, with no expression, it is still projected. It requires the recognition from the other to truly make a difference and create that legacy that it seeks.
The marrying maiden
The traditional I-Ching keynotes gate 54 as the “marrying maiden”, the young woman who knows who to marry to ensure she thrives in life. Knowing that the correct bond will lift both herself and her close family.
However for any connection to thrive, it must be entered into with some level of reciprocity, this is not just taking what is on offer but also sharing what you have to bring to the table.
You may want to reflect on, what are my ambitions? Where do I feel recognized to grow and succeed? How does my success push those around me to succeed? Who supports the legacy I long to create?
There is also a level of mysticism here, an ambition to connect with something larger than yourself, be in spirit, God, the Universe. The gate carries this desire, balanced with the knowledge that to have the privilege of exploring the mystical side of life, you need a certain level of material stability. Inviting you to explore material success as a key stepping stone into the spiritual and mystical side of life.
The channel of transformation
The entire channel of transformation, 54-32, carries you into next week. This channel combines the drive to climb the social ladder in the 54 with the awareness of which ladders to climb in the 32.
Again, something really important to note here is that this is a projected channel! So although this is an internal ambition and drive to achieve, to create a legacy, it must be done as part of a community in which it is recognised! Ensuring the ladders you climb are being supported by those who see your true value and impact in the world.
You may wish to journal on, what legacy do I wish to create? Am I working without recognition? Is this worth it in the long run?
And a collective influence
And finally Saturday 6th also brings definition in the collective circuit channel of maturation, 42-53, from the sacral to the root. This is one of the format channels. A channel that generates the energy for all of the streams of awareness in the bodygraph. Specifically the emotional collective experience here.
As a format channel, this energy sets the tone for the transit you’ll experience. Here we combine the power (in the sacral) and the pressure (in the root) to both begin and end cycles. This is the start of the push towards experiences. It generates the energy for the journey.
As part of the abstract collective circuitry, although not an emotional channel itself, it is pushing you into action that will create an emotional experience. It is the commitment in the sacral here that allows you to stick out the experience, to finish the cycle, so that you can learn and grown from it!
This is a great time to reflect on the experiences in your life, is this experience for me? As a sacral channel, entering into an experience from a sacral yes is going to be important for you to complete the cycle and grow from it.
